Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center

Foothills Learning Center

Attention Teachers!

We are now taking field trip reservations for Fall of 2016! There is now a small fee associated with our field trips ($30/class/hour), but our Public Works and Waste Education lessons are free of charge! Visit the Lessons and Tours page for more information.

Operated by the City of Boise Parks and Recreation Department, the Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center focuses on education and information about the Boise foothills and the surrounding high-desert environment.

Science comes alive for visitors through direct experiences with the outdoors. Programs are available for preschool through high school. Click here to schedule your group or review a list of our lessons and tours.

Two other departments are housed at the Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center: Foothills Open Space Management and the Ridge to Rivers Trails Program. Together, we are all working to protect our foothills and keep them accessible to the community.
