Teacher Workshops

In partnership with Project Learning Tree and Project WET, teacher workshops are offered throughout the year at the Foothills Learning Center and Boise WaterShed. Check Project Learning Tree or Project WET for registration information.

Explore your Wetlands

July 15-16, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This hands-on teacher workshop will allow teachers to explore the many facets of wetlands. Get to know wetland functions, types, and biology through presentations by local experts.  We’ll test water quality, hike through the Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve, make models and  participate in classroom activities.$25 registration fee, credit available for an additional $60. In Fall 2013, and in anticipation of the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, Boise Environmental Education is co-hosting a Wilderness Investigations Teacher Workshop during the October Inservice dates, Oct. 3rd & 4th in Boise. This is a free workshop for teachers K-12. BSU continuing ed credits are pending. For details, see workshop flyer
