Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center

Encompassing thousands of acres of public land and more than 100 miles of trails, the Boise Foothills provide a scenic backdrop to the city and serve as a home to wildlife, plants, geology and historic features.

The Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center is an environmental education facility right in the heart of the Boise Foothills just minutes from downtown Boise. It is situated in the midst of an extensive trail system used by walkers, runners, bikers, bird watchers and more. The immediate grounds include an outside amphitheater and interpretive trails. The Center offers a unique opportunity for students and community members to get out into and get to know and understand our foothills environment. Programs include field lessons, classroom lessons available on site or at your school, and community events.

The building features a fully functional classroom, conference room, and office space for Ridge to Rivers, Open Space and Boise Environmental Education staff.
