The City of Boise is dedicated to providing its citizens with opportunities to learn about our unique local environment and ways to live sustainably within it. Boise Environmental Education (BEE) is a multi-agency partnership providing environmental lessons and programs to children and adults. The city departments of Parks & Recreation and Public Works collaborate to bring visitors an assortment of classroom lessons, field trips, regular monthly programs and special events designed to educate, inform, and engage. BEE is made up of the Boise Community Forestry, Boise Urban Garden School, Boise WaterShed, the Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center, Public Works Environmental Programs, and Zoo Boise.

Each partner offers unique lessons, events, and learning experiences that can be utilized by both the general public and school groups. From the river to the foothills, and the farm to the forest, Boise Environmental Education invites you to explore our wild community, to develop a new sense of place, and to discover the lessons to be learned from nature.
