Treasures of the Boise Front: Wildflower Hike

Date: 3/14/2019 9:00 AM - 3/14/2019 12:00 PM

Location: Junction of Red Cliffs and Lower Hulls Gulch trails

Get a jump on spring with an invigorating late-winter walk in Hulls Gulch. With luck, we will find both sagebrush buttercups and orogenia/Indian-potato in bloom, and also discuss whatever elements of winter botany that we encounter, including shrubs, trees, grasses, fruits, and galls. Meet at the junction of Red Cliffs and Lower Hulls Gulch trails (ΒΌ mile east of the Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center). Be prepared for a 5-mile walk with 600-foot elevation gain. Serious rain or mud cancels. No dogs, please.
