Whether you're new to Boise or a lifelong resident, join us for our new adult education series to explore and learn more about where we live … the Boise River Watershed. You'll stay active while learning from experts in our watershed. This season, we will offer fun field trips and excursions that highlight the Boise City Biosolids Farm and Lucky Peak Dam! Transportation for off-site locations will be provided from the Boise WaterShed. Pre-registration is required, $10 per person. Light refreshments provided. Class descriptions found on-line.

September 22, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Biosolids Farm Tour (Twenty Mile South Farm)

Did you know that the City of Boise owns a farm, where compost is used and created? Join us for a day at the Twenty Mile South Farm to learn how the City of Boise utilizes the “solids” from your toilet flushes, and also tour the new city composting facility! Take a bus tour of the 4,200+ acre farm and visit the first net-zero commercial facility in Idaho.
