Hike to the Boise River to safely wade in and collect water bugs! Students will sort and identify the macroinvertebrates in order to learn what their presence tells us about the health of the river. Fifth and Sixth grade students will also complete a habitat assessment and use the information to better understand how natural and human impacts affect water and the aquatic ecosystem. Students are provided water shoes if needed. (April - September only)

Class size 10 - 30 students, up to 60 students per field trip. Ask about busing reimbursement.
